Under Eye Bags Reappear Year After Blepharoplasty, Advice?

A year ago, I had lower eyelid blepharoplasty. Everything was wonderful, but a year later, I somehow discovered those hateful bags under my eyes again one morning, just like that. Girls, can anyone advise if they've had something similar? I don't want to have surgery again. What to do?

Six months ago, I had transconjunctival blepharoplasty, they removed hernias from my lower eyelids. Half a year later, I had Botox in the "crow's feet" area. Swelling of the lower eyelids and bags under the eyes appeared. I don't know what to do.

I had surgery almost a year ago, but the bags under my eyes reappeared within a month. The doctor says it's due to the structure of my eyelids. He suggests another operation. I'm absolutely terrified. But I really don't want to go around with these bags under my eyes.

I also had blepharoplasty three years ago and here, exactly three years later, I got up in the morning and they're sagging again, it's terrible, I'm in shock, over the course of the day they become smaller, but they still don't completely go away, I'll have to have surgery again..😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I had a circular blepharoplasty a month and a half ago. The bruises haven't faded yet, and the bags under my eyes have returned. The doctor is perplexed. Right after the surgery, there were no bags. All expectations were not met. But it seems I'll have to redo it. Such things happen.

I had my lower blepharoplasty on the 6th of December. It's already been eleven days, the stitches are almost invisible, there's still some swelling, under the stitch of the right eye there's a small lump, I'm massaging it with hydrocortisone cream. Under the left eye there's a small bag, I think the eyelid hasn't yet settled into its place 😊. I'm doing exercises, squinting hard and then opening my eyes wide. The bruises are almost invisible, just a little bit in the cheek area. Waiting for further changes (for the better, of course).

I had it done on 9th December. The bags and deep wrinkles under my eyes have gone. The stitches are still painful, there's still swelling under one eye, and the haemorrhage in the conjunctiva of the other eye hasn't cleared up yet. But the main thing is - after a bottle of wine in the evening, by morning the bags under my eyes on my cheekbones had returned. Just like that, overnight I became an old woman again🤣. It's been 3 days now, and they're not going away☹️☹️☹️.

Girls, here's what I've read: Most of the visible swelling decreases within the first 7-14 days. Within 6-8 weeks after the surgery, patients can expect the swelling to disappear by more than 90%. Eyes may still be puffy for 2-3 months after the surgery. Full elimination of swelling may take several months. However, the remaining swelling is so insignificant that it is usually not noticeable from the outside. Final results can be considered after six months. Swelling of the lower eyelids and in the upper cheek area (malar swelling), typically increases and decreases from one day to the next. Patients usually worry when the swelling increases; they believe that the swelling should gradually but evenly subside. In reality, swelling typically increases and decreases before it goes away. Rare circumstances where swelling persists for a long time may be related to surgical disruptions of the lymphatic vessels of the eyelids, but even this type of swelling eventually resolves. There are other causes of swelling after blepharoplasty that are not related to tissue swelling. This can be observed, for example, after fat transfer to the lower eyelid: initially, the eyelid contour does not look smooth. This type of problem usually requires 6 to 12 months of healing. We're waiting, girls. I hope that everything will be fine for all of us!

I have the same sorrow, there were no suf before the operation, they appeared after the operation, they have decreased of course, but a little, it's been 2 months since the operation, I'm waiting for them to go away by the half-year mark…

It's been a month since my blepharoplasty, things have improved a bit, but the bags under my eyes haven't gone, I can still see excess skin under my eyes. The results are better on the upper lids. I'm not too keen on the stitches, they have some sort of bumps, similar to papillomas. I wonder, does anyone have a truly perfect result? You look at the doctors' photos on Insta, everything there is superb. But many people are unhappy in the reviews.

A similar situation. Six months after the lower transconjunctival blepharo, bags appeared, more on the right. They weren't there before 😊. We injected Dysport into them, did massages, microcurrents. Nothing changed at all. Several years have passed. We tried lipolytics, nothing. They don't change, a stable package. No one wants to cut it and take responsibility for it. Essentially, it's a fatty package, overgrown with vessels and scar tissue. A peculiarity of the body. I don't know how to solve this issue anymore. They really spoil the face and you can't hide them at all ☹️.
