Overcoming Persistent Acne: A Personal Journey and Query about Diets

I've been suffering from spots since I was 15, I'm now 21. At first, I thought it was just a teenage problem. But now I think there are other reasons, in my case, it was improper care and intestinal problems. No Demodex. Facial cleansing helped a lot, after which I wiped my face with chlorhexidine and immediately after cleaning for a day or two I used Levomekol. I use a green Yves Rocher gel for washing my oily skin, I wash my face with a sponge and warm water. Glycolic and almond peelings. Moisturising with thermal water and a light cream. I'm finishing drinking brewer's yeast with sulphur, I also took Lactoflorin and Bifidoflorin from the healing rainbow. There are much fewer spots, new outbreaks do not appear, there are only 2-3 spots left (there were more than 20). I don't know if there's a connection, but at 15 I had a short haircut, the ends of my hair were always falling on my face. I changed my hairstyle, started using shampoo for oily hair every day, pulling my hair back at home. I started doing all this in September. A couple of months ago I also started following a diet. Although I seemed to eat normally before. But I completely excluded fatty (I only cook in the oven, or boiled, or steamed,), sweet, salty, smoked, yoghurts with dyes, dairy products (now all porridges are only on water). There is a result, but it's very hard to stick to the diet, I weighed 53 kg (height 172) and lost another 3 kg during this diet. Maybe I can eat flour? For example, a non-sweet baked pie, or bread, or pasta? But I'm afraid that the spots will return from breaking the diet. People with spots are weak, slaves of their stomachs or bad habits, but I'm really bad without flour. And I don't like being too thin. On the other hand, as I remember my face before, when even washing was painful from all these inflammations, I immediately fall into horror. I just wanted to speak out, and hear your stories, does the diet really help with acne. Maybe everything else is helping me, not the diet, and I'm suffering.

No, a diet might slightly improve the tone and colour of your face, but the acne problem always lies elsewhere. I've been on a diet for 3 months, nothing happened with my face! Acne is either hormones (hello, spironolactone), or a mite (hello, permethrin cream), or acne bacteria (hello, benzoyl peroxide), or improper gland function (hello, adapalene). These are probably the main causes, the last 2 are related.

My niece uses PepTeens face wash gel for problematic skin with peptides, reformulated. She's 17 and all the transitional and teenage issues are "on the face" 😆 I know she's tried a lot of things and I've bought her a lot of stuff, but then she came across this line and she really likes it and it helps, give it a try, it might suit you too, it's specifically designed for problematic and sensitive skin 😊
