Living with a Noticeably Large Nose: Experiences Wanted

I apologise in advance if a similar topic has already been discussed here. Ladies and women, how do you feel about him being large or long? Do you feel self-conscious or do you not pay attention? Do strangers point out your flaw? I'm 25 years old, my nose has always been quite big, specifically - larger than average, it's a bit long and has a bump. I believe it spoils my appearance. My lips and chin are small, nothing compensates for it on my face. And, to be honest, I've noticed that as the years go by, it stands out more on my face. I'm very self-conscious, and sometimes some "kind" people remind me that it's long. Although I don't tell them about my insecurities, it's very noticeable on my face 😭. I don't have the money for rhinoplasty, I simply don't. I would just like to know how people with a similar problem live.

Yes, it's no problem at all. In our friendly company, both my husband and my best friend's husband have long noses, so when we all get together, only we have the right to joke about "long noses". We insist on having only wide wine glasses or vodka tumblers, so that the nose fits in when you drink. We also have a favourite joke, the bigger the nose, the higher the intellect. By the way, it seems that the nose gets even bigger with age.

I have a large nose with a hump, and I've never had any complexes about it. Of course, I can see that it's large and crooked, but it doesn't bother me at all. What's more, I would never exchange it for a small straight nose, because this is ME. Girls, why do you have so many complexes? Don't interact with people who see a crooked nose in you. Love yourself! Nasty people will always find a flaw in any person, it's their way of life, while normal people value and notice something entirely different.

I've always thought that my nose is a bit on the long side, it's straight, thin, but a tad long, and it looks different from various angles. It doesn't detract from my looks at all, I've grown to like it more with age. A lot of people consider me beautiful, I often hear them telling my husband, mum, son, what a beautiful daughter, wife, mother you have. By the way, I'm married for the third time, I've always had a bunch of admirers. Don't be self-conscious!

It all really depends on your complexion: if you have a thin face, then your nose will really stand out and seem large. So, it's probably better to slightly "plump up" your cheeks, gain some weight, then you won't even notice your own nose.

I used to be self-conscious about my nose, but over time I realised - it's all nonsense! Despite this flaw, I married a handsome man, gave birth to a beautiful daughter, and one of my acquaintances, who is the same age as me, once told my mum - you know, your daughter always had such attractive boys! So a long nose doesn't prevent you from living a full life and enjoying it, you just need to obsess less about it - and everything will be fine.

I had rhinoplasty when I was over 30. In my youth, my nose didn't bother me at all, I always had admirers, but after turning 30 it really started to stand out more. Moreover, my nose was complicated, they warned me straight away that two operations were needed for the perfect shape. I only decided on one, it got better, but nothing in my life changed. But if you're bothered by the length and the bump (as they bothered me), it's better to save up money and have the surgery.

I've got a large nose too, but it's not long, and it doesn't have a hump, it's wide. I try to take photos side-on. When I laugh, it's very big, the nostrils seem to spread apart. Of course, there were "kind" people who pointed it out. I used to worry a bit, but not anymore. I'm married, have a child, work, have many friends and acquaintances, so there's no time or reason to worry. I've never seriously considered rhinoplasty. Just sometimes, I watch "Scary Beautiful", try to imagine what they could do to me, and I absolutely can't see myself with a different nose.

I suffered so much until I was 20. I was horribly bullied at school and college, especially by the opposite sex... And then I just spat on everyone, went and had a rhinoplasty: completely changing the shape of my nose. I don't regret anything, even despite the fact that there were serious postoperative complications, which almost cost me my life... So don't believe if someone tells you that rhino is a minor operation! In reality, it's very complex and dangerous. The complex disappeared, but I didn't become happier, although after the rhino people started to get acquainted with me more often. 😆

I have a large nose with a hump, but all my facial features are large, so it looks harmonious. When I was a teenager, I suffered a lot, thinking I was ugly and everyone was only looking at my nose. And people around me also made comments about my nose. Then I grew up and realised that I am still beautiful, stopped paying attention to it, I focus my makeup on my eyes. And no one around me has ever told me that my nose is large. The most interesting thing is that once I mentioned my nose to my husband. He was surprised: is it large? He said that he likes it and that my nose is normal. So everything depends on your attitude towards yourself.

My nose is also rather large, especially in profile. I wouldn't say that I have a perfectly attractive appearance otherwise, but everything more or less compensates for it 😊 especially my figure 😊 so if there's something you're not happy with in your appearance, just find what you really like and emphasise it. And smile more often, even if it makes your nose bigger, because even a very unattractive but cheerful person is more appealing than a gloomy beauty 😊 Good luck to you!

I have a naturally beautiful nose shape, but the "wings" of my nose are wide. I've never been bothered by this, it wouldn't have troubled me at all, BUT, my family, including my husband, occasionally drop a few jokes about it. That's what hurts the most. They don't even realise how hurtful it is to hear. But still, I am an absolutely confident woman.

Author, people's perception of you truly depends on how you perceive yourself. And personally, I perceive my appearance through reflection. Therefore, I advise rearranging those mirrors\mirror that you often look into at home in such a way that your reflection appears more flattering.

Sometimes I notice that my mood/self-esteem changes in another room, because I'll catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror hanging there, and the reflection is completely different! Of course, the condition of my skin greatly influences this: the smoother and better it is, the less attention I pay to my nose, so either improve it, or cover it up, or do both.

Rhinoplasty is a very complex operation. Not only does the surgeon's taste need to completely align with yours, not only does the work need to be as precise as a jeweller's, given that millimetres matter. But not everything depends on the surgeon's skill - it's very important how your body reacts, how the scarring process goes. And therefore, there are quite serious restrictions to prevent swelling from increasing after the operation. And this is not just a month of such life. As for the result. This operation should only be done for yourself - it's my firm belief. Not for others, not for young people. As for others, you won't believe it and you'll laugh. With very strong changes - the nose becomes half as small, the hump disappears - no one, understand no one, including parents, understands what happened. She's become prettier, fallen in love, a new hairstyle, lost weight, new makeup - any explanations, just not what is actually the case. That's the reality.

I reckon there's nothing to fret about here, I used to be self-conscious too, just pick a hairstyle, makeup and everything's easy peasy, but most importantly love yourself as you are, because every person should have their own unique charm!!!!!

I've got a long, wide nose too, the tip curves downwards and it even has a hump, fell off a bike when I was a kid.. Can you imagine how sweet my life is?? Such is my father's legacy, but on a man, such a nose looks fine, but on a girl. I'm only 19 years old, and I'm terribly obsessed with my nose.. Not a day goes by without me standing in front of the mirror and looking at it.. I look and just want to cry. My friends say I'm pretty, older people, including men, say the same (not just acquaintances), but my peers, it's some kind of horror.. It seems that at this age there should be at least some brains, but apparently most of them are now selling their organs... My male peers don't look at me at all, and I want to climb the walls.. Because it seems to me that the whole reason is only in my NOSE, a terrible, long nose.. In general, I don't even know what to do.. I try hairstyles and makeup, sometimes it seems that it looks more or less, but still on the street I constantly look around, and it also annoys me when completely strangers point it out to me.. As if they have no problems of their own, they definitely need to think about mine and remind me 😭😭😭😭.

I'm 25. Now, I take pride in my nose. Yes, it's long, with a hump, and when I laugh - it resembles a hawk's beak. But this is MY nose, it's my mark, part of my image. Moreover, a psychology professor at the university explained that it was the nose that transformed a monkey into a rational human, as nasal breathing stimulates the frontal lobes of the brain, that is, the bigger the nose, the smarter the person, especially if you have a small forehead, then a big nose is simply necessary. I'll say, without boasting, my IQ is 132. Thanks to my nose! But until recently, I was very complex, afraid to communicate with guys, considered myself a freak, was shy to speak up in other people's companies, although I am very sociable and I am liked by people. And I always had admirers, only I didn't even admit the thought that I could like someone and therefore I didn't let anyone close to me, not to mention flirting and coquetry. It seemed to me that such a nosy freak is contraindicated to flirt. Relatives added fuel to the fire, they were not even shy to discuss my nose with acquaintances in front of me, hinted at surgery. They probably thought it was funny, but I was terribly hurt. I think, pointing out other people's flaws, people try to look better in their own eyes. Thank God, I survived all this. As soon as I changed my attitude towards the nose, I became much braver (even cheekier 😆) And I enjoy great popularity among men. I have a bright appearance and no one will confuse me with anyone. This is my charisma.

Now this is a TOPIC!!! *admiringly* I stumbled upon it and couldn't resist - I'll answer!😊 As long as I can remember, I've always absolutely detested my nose. A hump, starting "suddenly" - at eye level. Lack of symmetry (from the left and right profiles - absolutely different face). Posing for photos, I always tried to turn my face frontwards. And in general - I didn't like myself in photos. And, seeing my profile photo somewhere in an album at a friend's, I would throw a fit, demanding to "remove and destroy" the photo😂!!!... Met my future husband (10 years ago)... Even around him, I tried not to turn sideways. In short, a joke and silliness... Can you imagine, it got to the point that, even lying in bed, I tried not to show my profile?!... Cinema and Germans, girls... And I was constantly tense and flinched when my husband kissed my nose... I felt like they were laughing at me in the shower... One day I couldn't stand it and blurted out: "Why are you so obsessed with my nose??? I can't stand it as it is! You're just highlighting what a "beauty" it is!" My husband, completely flabbergasted, replied that he simply adores my nose and it's precisely because of it... he married me... *curtain. applause*... I pierced my little nose. From the right, "unsuccessful" profile!!! Let everyone look! I love it!!!!! Truly!!!😊

From Year 8, I started to notice that my nose was crooked, leaning to one side. Moreover, it's big and humped! I was distressed for a very long time, I was in a terrible depression... I couldn't talk, I couldn't even look at anyone... Then I probably accepted it, even forgot about it. Met a boy, we've been together for 2 years now. I was the happiest in the world!!! But today, his father said in front of everyone, she has a crooked nose... Like a sentence...

They asked about training, indeed)) There are such...when you look in the mirror, only look at your eyes.. over time, the complex will pass. And your nose isn't that big when you look at the whole face or into the eyes. Normal people look each other in the eyes. And only abnormal ones at the nose. We are all abnormal=))

I'm only 14 years old, and my nose is just massive and even has a hump! Horrible! I take after my mum because she has the same kind of nose. I think it's unattractive, especially when your mates in class have nice noses, and you've got God knows what! Please give me some advice, what should I do with my nose!!!

Girls..ugh...you have such a nose??? That's just awful!! Small noses are super!!! YOU are all horrors!!!P.S. what nonsense. For instance, I don't care at all what kind of nose..even if it's half the face.. you'd better take care of your body. Instead of having nothing to do, you stare at the mirror every day, obsessed with your appearance ppc...

I've got a really big nose too, and it's got a hump on it as well☹️☹️☹️. Someone once said to me, "If I were in your shoes, I'd get a fringe... just because of your nose..." What do you reckon, would that help? Would my nose seem smaller if I got a fringe??
