Effects of Stopping Regular Cosmetic Procedures After 45

I'm 45, but I look younger due to being slim. Naturally, there are issues with my face - loss of skin elasticity, noticeable malar bags, drooping upper eyelids. I've never had injections or machine cosmetology, I have certain fears. I have a friend, the same age. She's had various procedures - peels, botox, some other injections, and when she gets them, she looks about 30. But if she stops - she looks 50, and that's no exaggeration. Her skin becomes dry and spotted, sharp creases of wrinkles, everything sags. She goes to the salon - beautiful again, but you can see the botox and fillers. So, it turns out that if you start getting injections, you need to do it constantly? Otherwise, you suddenly age?

Start right after nursery school, it's just the time. What nonsense. Everyone, and I mean absolutely everyone, I see and know - after all these manipulations they look frighteningly artificial. It's all too obvious. Even if it's done well. It doesn't make you look younger. Age is always visible. Only those with excellent genetics and a naturally defined facial structure are lucky. But age is always visible. In the worst case, a person can become unrecognisable. And, if you start doing all this from 30, you quickly end up with exactly that result.

I started getting injections when I was 40. By the time I was 45, I was really struggling with money. I stopped. I didn't notice any setbacks. At 49, I started again. Maybe it depends on what you're injecting? I've never had Botox. I get hyaluronic acid injections. I see the effect. I don't look 10 years younger, but my face is noticeably fresher and tighter. Of course, over the past 10 years, my face hasn't frozen at the age of 40, but nonetheless, I'm pleased with the result. Don't wait. The later you start injecting, the worse the result.

Injections alone won't save you. And then they write here: look at the stars. Don't they realise that stars party hard like horses? Besides injections, there should be: sleep, absence of stress, work, good nutrition, vitamins and supplements, moderate exercise, moderate eating. All in combination!

A great deal depends on genes and heredity, some people at 30 look 40 and vice versa without any cosmetologists. The same goes for figure, you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want, and be toned and slim, while others torture themselves in gyms, live in hunger, and still have no figure to speak of.

I'm 45, always took care of my skin, daily since I was 25. From 35, I've been visiting a beautician 1-2 times a month. Objectively, I look 35-37. From 40, I've been having bio revitalisation every month or two and a beautician, once a year I get filler in the nasolabial folds, I've only been having Dysport injections in my forehead since I was 43. In addition to all this, I have good genes from my mum. You can and should take care of yourself, even if it's just to like the reflection in the mirror and not feel like, as it's written here, old plumbing and of course, sport and diet restrictions and of course, having the means. I believe that every woman wants to be attractive, even in her own eyes, not to mention others. Thanks to care and attitude, I don't think anything is too late, it's never too late. You need a good specialist who will choose the right care, there are so many opportunities and technologies to look young at any age now.

Apart from masks and a Darsonval device, I don't use anything else, and at my 44, I look much younger, it's probably the genes. And just a couple of kilos of excess weight. Eat more fruits, vegetables. Dietary supplements are also okay. It's good to drink some collagen. For the vessels, Ascorutin. And a good mood. It also matters.

As with anything, it's all about consistency. You eat regularly, don't you? You can't just have one big meal and be done with it. Exercise needs to be regular. Home care is regular, even something as simple as washing your face. And you want cosmetology to be a one-time thing and last forever🤷‍♀️

If Botox is done well, there won't be any problems. The key is not to disable muscles with Botox, then they won't atrophy. If a week after the injection your acquaintance can easily mimic everything Mr. Bean can do, then the Botox is successful, if not - the job's a mess. Hyaluronic acid is absolute rubbish, which shouldn't be injected, it doesn't provide any hydration, only swelling. In our bodies, the amount of hyaluronic acid is always the same, approximately 15 grams from birth to death, and if excess is introduced, this acid doesn't enter the cells, not any, it attracts water to the intercellular space and that's swelling, like in alcoholics, because puffy alcoholics usually don't have fine wrinkles. But all intercellular space is permeated with capillaries and swelling kind of squeezes them and the supply of oxygen and substances worsens, because all these are brought to the cells by vessels and capillaries. And the body is constantly trying to eliminate foreign hyaluronic acid, it's like being in a state of illness for the body. But please do acid peels - they're always good. Dry skin is not scary, the main thing is that it should not be dehydrated. Pore and oily skin is worse than dry and adds more age. Dry skin can even occur in a child, but at 50 his skin will not look like that, because the thickness of the epidermis is thin. If you really want a filler, then Radiesse, but you'll have to inject it all your life. In any case, fillers are not a good thing. If anything, better get into vacuum massages and peels. Just not scrubbing.

Botox, fillers... Why do you all think that these give any benefits? Even if done subtly, it's still noticeable and doesn't add to attractiveness. Of course, there are people who look much younger, but it's not due to botox, it's down to genetics and how a person takes care of themselves. A well-groomed woman, regardless of age, looks more attractive than a dolled-up puppet. I don't know where this opinion about all-powerful fillers and injections comes from, but among my friends, there's no one who would be attracted to injection-altered characters.

What nonsense 😊 If you don't regularly dye your hair and get your nails done, you probably look bad too 😊 If you don't get Botox every 6 months, your face will look like it did before the injections. The effect of fillers lasts from 1-2 years, if it's your first time it fades faster. Of course, it's important to do everything regularly.

I can spot a speck in another's eye, but fail to notice a log in my own, right?🤣 How can you be younger if your skin condition is as you've listed? That's just your perception. Don't be afraid, go for treatments, where's the regression in that?

I'm 45. I don't have any injections and I'm not planning to, everything suits me. There are age changes, but minimal. Even beauticians say that I look a maximum of 38 and are surprised that I don't do anything. Well, I'll look at the situation at 50. And if it's "too late" and doesn't help, I couldn't care less.

Well, you do have problems, madam, it's clear that you can't artificially become youthful, I have genes to thank for that, plus a healthy lifestyle, minimal decorative cosmetics, and always a fresh look, although an allergy to tap water causes swelling after washing.

If she's abusing it, then perhaps the skin doesn't want to work itself 😊 If you do, not often. I get peels mainly for pigmentation from a cosmetologist in winter and then I also have an enzyme peel-mask at home, I take it for home care.

Oh, that's utter nonsense! All normal girls quietly start with Botox, biorevitalisation, fillers, meso and so on from the age of 35. They all look younger than their years. After stopping (due to financial problems, long absences, etc.), they still look younger than their peers. NOTHING DROOPS ON ANYONE.
