Discussing Age Appearance and Factors Affecting Youthfulness

Specifically on this forum. And the question is not about cases where someone claims that I will look 20 at 40, 30 at 50 and so on. They don't believe it and laugh, even to the point that it's impossible to look 20 at 25, 25 at 30. But how should one generally look at this age? Until about 30, many people don't change much. If at 18 you looked 14-15, then from 20 to 30 you still look 20, 20 and a bit. Few people get Botox before 35, 40 or have any rejuvenating procedures. If you take care of yourself, don't smoke, don't drink, don't eat like a pig everything in sight and have good genetics, you can look 40 at 50, 50 at 60. I've met people who look younger than their age, they definitely didn't have surgeries, facelifts and so on, as they are just ordinary people. Although there are many examples among celebrities, sometimes you look at them and they look 30 at 50, but we won't consider their cases, as they do have the means to afford any corrections, but even they don't always have successful facelifts or Botox.

Here, it's just women sitting around, who are envious of those who take care of themselves and look younger πŸ˜† As for the stars in their 50s - they only look beautiful on television and Instagram, in real life: the skin on their fingers, elbows, neck - gives away their true age.

Why is that? I believe, I've met people who look 5 years younger than their actual age, 10 years younger is a rarity, for instance, an acquaintance at 35 clearly looked 25, it wasn't just me who noticed. But looking 15, 20 or 25 years younger is impossible, it's either gross flattery from others or self-deception. If a middle-aged woman undergoes cosmetic procedures like Botox, it only yields results for a certain period of time, after a certain number of procedures the face becomes unnatural, and the age is still noticeable.

Famous people often look genuinely younger than their age. In real life, everyone more or less looks their age, and those who make the loudest claims of looking 10 years younger actually look even older. I've never met anyone in real life who at 35 would look 25. That doesn't mean they looked bad, but not 25. Most people like to make things up, I really don't understand why. So you're 35, so what? You look well-groomed, good, what's the problem?

Judging a singer's age by how she looks in a MUSIC VIDEO!!!! is simply laughable. Girls, anyone can look stunning *** after passing through Photoshop filters. They also apply filters to videos. Plus, there's the clever use of lighting and quality makeup. I too know that with the right makeup and angle, and intensity of lighting, I can look like a fresh peach. Low diffused light + skilled makeup + flattering clothing that accentuates my assets and hides my flaws, eye-catching jewellery that draws attention to the parts I want to show off (like my slender wrists and fingers). Then I can give any 25-year-old a run for their money at my age of 37. But that doesn't mean I'm a young beauty who looks 25! In bright light, without any tricks, I'm well-preserved for my 37, no more. And all this talk about looking 5-10 years younger than your age and more just makes me laugh. Under certain conditions and lighting, someone might say WOW!, but then you're still going to step into bright light.

People believe, that's not the point. They are envious and therefore hide behind the pretext - disbelief, hence they don't want to do anything for rejuvenation. Why? Because it requires effort. Efforts not only physical, but also moral. Sport, smoking ban, alcohol ban, healthy food, lots of fresh air, getting enough sleep - all this is almost incomprehensible for 98% of women and men. People want you not to stand out against their background, therefore they tell you - "they don't believe", hoping that you will listen to them.

Age can always be guessed within a range of 5 years, so at 30 you can realistically look 25, but not 20 and certainly not 16! No one looks 10-20 years younger, because age is given away not only by the condition of the skin, hair and figure, but also by the manner of speaking, gaze.

I'm 42, usually perceived a bit younger than my peers due to my thin skin, slim figure, and overall eccentric character 😊 Now I've put on a few extra kilos, but my face is still more or less okay, if I don't show my neck and stay in sportswear. Now I'm faced with a dilemma, to lose this weight - well yes, I'll have a figure and overall muscle tone, I'll be perceived better from a distance, and it's healthier not to carry extra weight. But my face will immediately suffer, thin skin, age, menopause on the horizon will bring changes, with such thin and fine-wrinkled skin all my years will come out and even more. My mum at the same age chose the figure, the result was a picture - from the back a young girl, from the front an old woman. Granny in the same situation didn't chase after a figure (there wasn't such a fashion then) and from photos I see, and from memory I remember - due to a round face and the same type of skin she looked younger in the face for a long time.

You know, for many, looking "groomed" and young are synonyms. Therefore, they "don't see" if everything isn't tucked up, lashes-lips-fillers aren't inserted, fat bags in the cheeks aren't removed. Then it's visible that it's "young". But if it's a natural face with physiological folds, even if you're 18, they'll still say - not a spectacle.

I've often noticed that at 40, women who are slim, with slender wrists, straight lines of face and body, WITHOUT cosmetic interventions and with restrained makeup - mascara and lipstick, look 28. All those juicy beauties are already... done by 35.

I just don't understand this obsession with looking younger. Taking care of oneself and one's figure, adorning oneself - that's normal. But why the constant attempt to appear younger? When asked to guess someone's age, I always try to say less than what I see. Because God forbid you guess a year older, you'll be eaten alive. As a result, these women think they look younger. πŸ˜†Sorry, but I just laugh at this!πŸ˜† Be slim, go to the gym, get a facial massage, use good cosmetics and you'll be happy. Many ladies use cream and crap shampoo from the mass market and think their skin and hair look 10 years younger. From the outside, it's hilarious. I don't try and have never tried to look younger. I don't understand why? To show off in front of classmates? I couldn't care less. Many of them look great, I'm not ashamed to admit it. To appeal to men? I'm already appealing, even to those younger than me. In short, it's wildly amusing when a woman tries to act like a girl and thinks she's still something special.

Until I was 36, I looked much younger than my age, everyone noticed it. But then, evidently, my hormonal balance changed + stress, and I suddenly aged, even started to look older. So it's uncertain, what's better, to age slowly or like I did ☹️.

Everything depends on how people look in your surroundings, and accordingly, you judge based on what you're accustomed to seeing. If friends and acquaintances around 40 look slim, toned, and good, then I'll consider that's how you should look at 40. Those whose friends and acquaintances more often have a "matronly" type will believe that's how one usually looks at 40.

On this forum, people not only disbelieve that one can look a couple of years younger than their actual age (which is, of course, possible), but it's just becoming laughable that every third person proudly boasts about not being sold cigarettes without ID. Every third one! 🀣 As if it's unheard of! 🀣 Although, at the till, people don't bother judging appearances, they don't have time for that. Hence, it's already amusing to normal people.

Because eyes give away age. You might look 16 in body and skin at 35, but it's visible in the eyes. With a certain experience, even a very well-groomed and tightened woman can be found out for her real age. You know, I'm often given less too. Why? Because those who give, in their 30s themselves look like grannies and communicate with the same "grannified" ones. They think I'm a schoolgirl! But at work, no one is surprised by a toned bum, good skin and a slim figure even at 45 and I'm quite serious. And they are given 45, quite, but not all.

With those who in reality (not on the site) fish for compliments or say they look -teen years younger - it's all clear with them. Usually, it's the other way around. Those who really look good stay silent. Once on TV, they showed a modelling agency and an employee was saying that a lot of ugly people come in, who consider themselves beauties. She advised to look at oneself in the mirror more objectively before coming.

Because usually those who really look young know everything about themselves and don't ask such a question, and those who do ask this question and require confirmation are usually shrivelled, stale, old women, who can dress in youthful clothes, a tight dress or a see-through top and believe that everyone should fall over and consider them young, but from the outside they look like vulgar grannies in a transparent dress.

Generally, most people don't give a toss about who's dressed in what and how they look. Sometimes, I can't even remember who I've spoken to and when, I don't pay any attention to appearances. I only look if I've got absolutely nothing else to do, and that's rare. However, being next to a 40+ woman who starts to giggle and behave like a girl, thinking it's attractive - it's simply embarrassing and disgusting, it's fine to have a laugh at them from a distance, but to interact with such people......... it's a disgrace and a shame.
