Accidentally Scratched Off Scab from Recent Mole Removal

I've accidentally scratched off the scab from a wound after a mole removal. The mole removal operation was only done yesterday. But today, I've accidentally scratched off the scab. There's some bleeding, what should I do?

You don't apply iodine and brilliant green to open wounds, what are you thinking? It will cause a tissue burn. Prepare a weak solution of potassium permanganate, barely pink, and moisten the wound with a cotton swab - it disinfects. Your doctor is strange, they always say to apply a weak solution of potassium permanganate for about a week, but certainly not iodine.

Hello, I have the same issue. The crust after the mole was irritated for 9 days, then I accidentally scratched one a bit and it fell off during the night. There are pits. But the second one, my friend accidentally brushed it with his hand and it started to peel off and on the 10th night when I was sleeping, it scraped off on the pillow. It's scary in case the pits remain forever, or scars and I still removed it on the line. What would you advise to do or what to apply? And will the wound heal into skin at all?

Hello everyone! I thought I was the only one like this😟 On Saturday, I had a mole removed from my face, and today (Tuesday) my little one accidentally scraped off part of the scab😟 What to do?? The doctor only prescribed applying Bepanthen and that's it.

Don't worry, the dimples will heal, but not immediately. About 30 years ago, I had a very large mole removed, right between my breasts. A very uncomfortable place, women will understand me. I had a hole that a little finger could fit into. For the first three years, I only wore closed clothes. After about 5 years, the place began to smooth out. Later, it was only noticeable when I was nervous, the spot remained white, while the skin around it turned red. After 10 years, almost nothing was visible. Now, only I can find where the operation was. You all had small moles removed, in a year and a half, you won't even find the place of the operation.

I also had a mole on my face removed by laser, exactly a week ago. Today, I accidentally scraped off the scab (now there's a large pink spot in its place, I'm really worried whether it will go away? Or will there be a little scar left( The doctor, by the way, said not to apply anything, but to treat it with vodka only, as alcohol could burn it instead.

Today is my fifth day since I had a Surgitron removal on my face, from the first day there was exudate, now some sort of water is seeping out from under the scab, part of the scab gets soaked overnight, comes off in the morning, there's a wet wound, I don't know what to do, I cauterise it with potassium permanganate, and then dust it with Baneocin powder. How many more days will this water continue to seep out? Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one dealing with this, but it's a shame that no one has posted the outcome. Did a scar remain? It's unclear why all websites state that the scab will fall off on its own after a couple of weeks, when in fact it softens even from the special cream, and then peels off after accidental light touches, which are unavoidable, considering that the wound is on the face.

I removed a small, but raised mole on my shoulder about 3-4 months ago. Despite trying to be careful when showering, the scab still softened and fell off prematurely, with nothing yet formed underneath, there was blood. Gentian violet and Baneocin were used again. Everything healed afterwards, but! A small lump formed at that spot and due to constant friction against clothing and itching, it's dark pink. And it's not going away, it's been a very long time. The biopsy didn't show anything bad. What to do, has anyone experienced this?

I accidentally scraped off the scab in the middle of the night, 8.5 days in, but it was still a bit early for it to come off, there was only a little bit of bleeding around the edges, but it was so scary that I got frightened and went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and fainted twice.
